A 17 hour flight and 23 hour travel day is not for the faint of heart, but this team handled the trip with grace! We praise the Lord for His kindness in that every single detail went perfectly. We arrived in Manila around 12:30 p.m. local time which is 12:30 a.m. Eastern time. Jet lag is a real thing so once we got to our hotel it was time for quick showers and off we went to the Mall of Asia (which is one of the largest malls in the world). After a great meal at Din Tai Fung we settled into our hotel rooms and now it is time to see if we can actually sleep all night.
In the morning we are headed to the island of Mindoro and start our ministering opportunities. The journey will take around 4 hours, but we are excited to get going. The plan is to get settled into the house and do some volleyball and basketball outreach along with some Bible studies. The girls will certainly experience things they would not usually in the United States and we are looking forward to seeing the Lord use them!
